This is a 5 week series.
The series we are looking at this next month is about how God told the Israelites that a king wasn’t a good idea and they tried anyway.This series is diving deeper into power and how the Bible views power. In the passages these lessons are based on, God repeatedly tells the Israelites they won’t like a king (for many reasons) and the Israelites want to move forward anyways. What a CLASSIC move! While kings may feel like a concept of the past, I find it somehow comforting when God suggests one person in power isn’t the way forward and listening to students process how to think about that in their context.
