Kings + Power: SMALL PROGRAM (29 or less kids)

This is the elementary only option.

This series takes a closer look at the pattern of kings in the Old Testament leading up to Jesus’ birth. We want to focus on why the Israelites wanted kings so intensely and why this desire ultimately failed so miserably. We also hope to explore the undertones of free will. Even though God didn’t believe it was the best plan for the Israelites to have a king, they moved forward. The end of the kings leads seamlessly into the importance of Jesus' birth, intentionally guiding us into our Christmas discussions.
