At the Table Series: PREK Large Program (76+ kids)

$65.00

This is only the PreK Lesson.

“At the Table series” was co-written with Brandi Miller, who is Pastor at Quest church and host of the podcast Reclaiming my Theology. Brandi is an incredible theologian and I feel SO lucky to have this co-write existing in your communities. When I approached Brandi about the series, she got to pick the theme and the stories that she wanted to tell to kids.

Jesus was unapologetically a message of inclusion versus exclusion as he disrupted the systems in front of him. So how can it be that this story of love, inclusion, and disruption is one that we’ve also used to shame the most easily influenced minds into loving Jesus as well? As we reimagine how to tell this story with the kids and students we love, my hope is that we get to invite kids to love a God who is someone that can be trusted. Someone that not just loves them but actually likes them as well. A God who is present in the chaos of today just as they were present in the chaos of Jesus’ time.

Stories:

  • Abraham

  • King David

  • Feeding 5,000

  • The Great Feast

  • The Last Supper

  • Surprise Breakfast

Sarah Swartzendruber is passionate about how to communicate the Bible to kids in helpful ways that activate curiosity with age appropriate curriculum. She is a pastor at Cascade Church PDX and Parent.

We do this by…

  • Giving different response options (drawing, moving, playing)

  • Using our skill of curiosity

  • Responding to stories

After purchasing, the lessons are yours to keep.
